Meeting was called to order. Members present were Dunn, Growden, Ratliff.

Dunn reported that Safety glassed were issued. SWR footwear is here and in the process of being issued. Two new chairs were purchased for the communications room.

The HSC recommends that 2 new chairs be purchased in January and that four chairs be budgeted annually with two purchased in July and two in January.

First Report of Injury training was done with the D.C.’s and Captains.

Policies/Procedures for bariatric patient is in progress.

D.C. Dunn will discuss reserve engine status and mirrors for 344/370 at next staff meeting(8-6-08).

Dunn reported that in the July Safety Matters News Letter the Fire Department had 11 incidents for the fourth quarter of FY-2008(April,May,June) for $98,766.

One new injury was reported since July HSC meeting.

Ratliff and Growden are to work on an Apparatus Status Board.

Problems with the kitchen stove were reported.

The next meeting was scheduled for Wednesday September 3 at 0830.
